Perfect for teaching young children about animals that live on a farm or as a children's Thanksgiving or Christmas craft project, this delightful hand print turkey can be easily made by even very young hands. It really is a great kid's craft project.
You will need some construction paper, one googly eyeball, colored feathers, glue and a pencil to complete this paper craft. The colored feathers, and googly eyeballs can be purchased at most craft stores for a very reasonable price.
The child can choose which color of construction paper and feathers he or she wishes to construct their turkey from and with their big imaginations you can image the colorful flock of birds that a group of kids can create.
Use Heavy Weight Colorful Construction Paper
Use only construction paper or card stock as this is a thicker paper. This will allow the hand print turkey to be more easily displayed after it is finished.
Have the kids choose their own colored paper and feathers. As kids love to combine the most unusual colors. this generally results in quite a vibrant array of birds showing up from their work.
These seasonal turkeys are delightfully fun and decorative to display once they are complete. So let's get busy.
