If you can make rice then you can make rice pudding, it is that easy. Cook your rice, then once it is cooked add a few additional ingredients into the pot, stir occasionally and you have a wonderfully sweet treat.
This delicious dessert can be made using pretty much any type of rice but to add a little healthier twist to your pudding try using brown rice. You won't be disappointed.
For years I made my pudding with white rice but the first time that I tried it with the brown variety I was hooked. It gives this dish a delightfully distinctive texture and flavor that truly surprised both myself and my husband. We won't ever go back to our old recipe. This one is too delicious.
These are the Ingredients You Will Need
The rice pudding is ready when it reaches a thick creamy texture. Remove from heat and at this point stir in one teaspoon of vanilla. Serve warm or cold. For a nice added touch you can add a dab of whip cream to the top. We enjoy ours warm with a dab of ice cream on top.
It can Also be Baked in the Oven if this is Your Preference
